Last Saturday, July 31, I, along with my friend and my brother attended the free screening of the Ragnarok: the animation at SM Southmall.
My friend, Kuroro and I arrived at SM Southmall around 11am. When we were already at Cinema 8, there was already a long line for the registration (in which one will receive the ticket along with a free Juno server client CD, a fan that seemingly looks like a mouse pad ^_^v and a poster).
While standing in line, Kuroro and I saw some people cosplayed as RO charas. One even looked like our friend, Chizuku Mikki y Admin. We thought that one must really be a RO player that has a log-in account for him/her to get a ticket to watch the said screening. Thankfully, there wasn’t a need for log-in account.
After registration, Kuroro and I decided to eat our lunch. Timely, in the middle of our meal, my brother finally came and ate lunch with us. After lunch, we decided to stroll around the mall.
The screening will start at 2:30pm and it was just only 1pm.
We went to Comic Alley.
We were supposed to leave the shop after the thrird song, Ningyo Hime when I heard a distinctive intro of DRIVER’S HIGH by L’arc-en-Ciel. It was obvious to Kuroro and Rob(my brother) that we’ll stay for a while until the end of the said song. ^_^ ehehe..
Next stop was the arcade,
Rob and I didn’t play any games while Kuroro played this shooting game. Aw~ how time flies. It’s already 2pm, time to go to Cinema 8.. When we went to Cinema8, jeez! There was already a long line for the screening. While at the line, I saw this booth near us who sells RO stuff. Immediately, I saw pouri dolls! We bought four. We went back in line then the RO cosplayers came out and parade. Rob suddenly got a camera and said, he’ll going to take pictures of those people then ran speedily. Rob came back all sweaty but with a smile that he have done a ‘fan service’.
I think it was quarter to 3 that cinema8 opened. Aw~ Filipino time. As part of being Filipino, there were lots! Who went ‘saw-saw’(cheated in the line). Finally, we made it inside the cinema. We chose to be at the upper box. We settled at the lane right after the boundary for VIPs. While sitting comfortably, I can hear some yelling when they got into the cinema. From such behavior, we, three concluded that this was only the time that RO fans finally went outside and left their PCs at home. Anyway, that conclusion was just for fun, okay. No offense RO players. ^_^v.
From my chair, I can also see some jumping as if “Eureka! We have found Rune Midgard”. Few were running as if they will run out of seats and must beat one other for seats.
Suddenly, Driver’s High was played. Of course, I got all high and excited. I sang along to the song! Then when I didn’t know the lyrics, I stopped myself and noticed that everybody was singing! These people know Laruku! I can’t help to feel nostalgic. It is one of the most cherished moment in that event. It was as if there’s a L’arc concent. After Driver’s High, Stay Away was played.
Another exciting part that happened was when the cosplayers entered the cinema and were introduced. Since the screening was a male dominated environment, the Mage got the ‘sukebe’ hormonal charge approval. Anyway, I like Mage’s costume too. I like costumes! I think the thing that got the audience with Mage was the bunny ears and the chest. And to give you proof how crowd favorite she was. The Adam clan was shouting “We want Mage! Mage!” And Kuroro and I were fortunate to have a picture with Mage! –belat-
It was already 3:30pm when the program officially started.
Then the moment has come! The screening of episodes 3-4 of Ragnarok: the animation. We, three chose to finish ep3 only.
We went out around 4pm. Kuroro went on his way to Cubao while Rob and I lined up to join the spin-a-wheel. Yay! I was the one who spun the wheel and thank God that I was able to won two pouri dolls! So that makes 6 pouri dolls!
After we got our prize, we went home. At my bedroom, we lay down all stuff from Rune Midgard, ^_^ aside from the stuff, I’ll cherish this simple event.
